Abortion Doula Continuing Education Course (Canadian Context)

This bundle includes includes all 4 Abortion Doula CE (Canadian Context) lessons that are available. This is the complete Abortion Doula CE Course (Canadian Context). Corrected Captions in English are included. All lessons are taught by Canadian educators who have experience providing abortion support to their local communities.

There are no prerequisites to enroll in this course. You do not need to be a doula or have any specific background experience. This course does not result in certification. 

This complete continuing education course includes four prerecorded lessons, which together offer an in-depth opportunity to explore what it means to support abortion as a part of your practice. There will be context given for understanding abortion legislation (Canada), as well as working in both collective and private practice settings to increase access to safe and empowered abortion in your community. This is a great place to start learning about abortion access and advocacy and build, or grow, a community of folks committed to abortion advocacy. 

This course is available for new doulas and care workers, and experienced professionals.

Meet Our Teachers!

Molly and Giselle

Molly Dutton-Kenny (she/her) is a Registered Midwife in Ontario, as well as an educator and advocate. She specializes in community education around full spectrum pregnancy loss and abortion, and midwifery-based management and support of these experiences, centering home and holistic medicine as options for most people. She is also a member of the Abortion Care Network and the National Abortion Federation, and has served on the hotline for Action Canada for Sexual Health & Rights and on the Board of Choice in Health clinic in Toronto. Giselle Johnson (they/them) is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). They provide support to birthing people during labour, postpartum families and those experiencing pregnancy & infant loss & termination. Giselle became a doula because they wanted people to feel safe, validated and well cared for during the unique transitions that one experiences once they become pregnant. They continue to care for families through infant feeding consultations, perinatal education & evidence based information. Their practice is Queer & Trans affirming and rooted in reproductive justice and anti-oppression. Giselle offers Anti-oppression training for individuals & organizations working to create safer spaces for their clients. They are based in Toronto, Canada.
