This enrollment option is ONLY for MEAC midwives and student midwives who are interested in exploring the intersections of Disability Justice and Reproductive Justice.
As midwives and birth workers, we are supporting Disabled people - whether or not we know it - and, many birth workers are, themselves, Disabled. It is vital to examine the ways in which dominant birth culture exacerbates violence against Disabled folks and Disabled children, and identity where we are complicit in that harm.
This course contains the same content as our pre-recorded Birth & Disability course, but is enrollment is only open to MEAC students in pursuit of CEUs. It has been approved for 12 hours (1.2 CEUs) with added quizzes and evaluations.
ASL interpretation and automated closed captions and transcripts provided in English on replays. For additional accommodation requests, email [email protected].
