This self-paced course includes six prerecorded lessons.

All lessons are taught by skilled facilitators with lived experience. 

This complete continuing education course is for anyone interested in supporting people in their communities who are trying to conceive. The course will cover information regarding fertility, as well as context and skills for providing pre-conception support. Community care workers, full spectrum doulas, and those who support others through reproductive transitions of all kinds are encouraged to join us!

This course is suitable for new doulas and care workers, and experienced professionals. There are no prerequisites to enroll in this course. You do not need to be a doula or have any specific background experience. This course does not result in certification.

Meet Your Core Teachers!

Josie Rodriguez-Bouchier, Pati Garcia, Ray Rachlin, & Charlie Monlouis-Anderle

Josie Rodriguez-Bouchier L.Ac. (they/them) is a queer, non-binary, Latinx fertility acupuncturist, and Queer Reproductive Health and Justice advocate. Since 2008, they have been supporting folks with wombs to conceive with the help of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Josie's mission is to re-center queer, trans, and non-binary BIPOC in the reproductive healthcare realm and beyond. Josie is the host of The Intersectional Fertility Podcast and creator of the Whole Self Fertility Method™. They live on stolen Cheyenne land, known today as Lakewood, Colorado, with their fiancée, two children, and two rescue pups. Learn more about their work at intersectionalfertility.com

Pati Garcia is a queer, non-binary (dey/dem), Latinx Certified Sexological Bodyworker and Certified Professional Midwife, creator of Shodhini Institute, and educator at La Matriz Birth. Pati has been involved in revolutionary somatic approaches to feminist body autonomy cultivation from a latinx gender non conforming perspective since 2004.Pati's life work is intertwined with deep spiritual practices rooted in Andean culture which includes the dreamworld as a place of healing and guidance. Pati recently repatriated from Trinidad and Tobago to the USA and is living their best life in Pomona, California (East Los Angeles County). IG  @patiLApartera.  

Ray Rachlin, LM, CPM, CLC (they/she) is a midwife and founder of Refuge Midwifery, an inclusive midwifery practice providing fertility counseling and home IUI, home birth midwifery care, and community education throughout the greater Philadelphia area. 

For the past five years, Ray has been immersed in promoting affirming reproductive care for transgender patients, and has taught midwives, doctors, nurses, and birth professionals throughout the country on trans-inclusive fertility, birth and postpartum care. In their private practice, Ray specializes in natural fertility support for individuals with prior hormone use, and pre-pandemic hosted bi-monthly gatherings for LGBTQ families trying to conceive, pregnant, and with new babies.

Ray earned their Bachelor’s of Science in Midwifery at Birthingway College of Midwifery in Portland, Oregon, and holds a BA in political science, urban studies and labor studies from Queens College. Ray is a member of the Queer and Transgender Midwives Association.


Charlie Monlouis Anderle (they/them) is a Blaqueer, non-binary companion, educator, and advocate. They are based in Crown Heights, Brooklyn and are committed to economic, racial, and reproductive justice in their support for families of all incomes through any outcome of pregnancy. Charlie offers care for a full-spectrum of reproductive transitions from preconception through postpartum, gender transition, lactation, abortion, and pregnancy and infant loss. They are a postpartum chef, empowering families in their feeding choices while making sure that parents are also well nourished with replenishing foods. As a voice-lifter, resource-pollinator, and practicing hedonist, they live by the intention to--in the words of Toni Cade Bambara--make revolution irresistible.
